We are a team of therapists, researchers, and academics looking to 'bridge the gap' between Psychosynthesis and its application to the therapeutic potential of psychedelics.
We also offer support to individuals looking to integrate psychedelic or spiritual experiences through a psycho-spiritual lens.
The need for structured, integrative psycho-spiritual frameworks is becoming ever more pressing as psychedelics gain mainstream recognition – not just for their potential to heal trauma but also to facilitate spiritual and personal growth. The West is missing a broad context to hold the diversity and uniqueness of the psychedelic experience. This is particularly the case outside of a clinical or indigenous setting, where the support of an adequately trained therapist or a holistic lifestyle and community may be missing. This often leads to ontological shock amongst other difficulties.
Developed by Italian psychiatrist Roberto Assagioli at the beginning of the twentieth century, Psychosynthesis offers a unique model for preparing individuals for the psychedelic journey, fostering post-experience integration, and minimizing harm. It is one of the few psychotherapeutic approaches that combines psychological, ontological, existential, and spiritual perspectives. It provides a culturally neutral context and non-directive framework that makes room for the transpersonal while also being grounded in psychological science. Its dual focus on healing trauma and Self-Realization means that it explicitly works to synthesize both the personal and spiritual aspects of life, seeing spiritual growth not as something separate or hierarchical but as integrated with resolving psychological issues.
